Galway beat Lismore last Sunday in a very exciting game in Lismores picturesque Castle Farm. Galway won the toss and despite a long trip down from the West confidently decided to field. Lismore got off to a good start putting on 23 for the first wicket. Lismore players got themselves in and then out with a young Winston scoring 20 and David Ind and Raz top scoring on 26. But Galways bowlers gradually got on top with the accurate Ted Turton finishing with an impressive 3 for 23 off 10. Iliff, Umair and Vikas chipped in with 2 wickets each and Philip Stokes made 2 excellent catches as the game swung Galways way. So Lismore ended up with 127 runs all out after 43.4 overs.

Lismore got a quick early wicket as David Ind bowled his first five overs for 1 run. Steve Ellis and Vikas scored at a very good rate and put on 63 for the second wicket. Both Vikas and Steve made 29 runs. But wickets were falling at a regular enough rate. John Russell ended up with 3 for 33 and Raz came back and took 3 quick wickets to give an exciting finish. Galway needed 17 for the last wicket and Philip Stokes did the job finishing 18 not out. Dave Ind finished with 7.2 overs for 5 runs.

So Galway held their nerve rode their luck and qualified for the final where they will meet either Ennis or Limerick in the final probably at the lydican.
